Don't forget that the Easter holidays will be your final chance to do some extra reading and add this to your sponsor card. Sponsorship money should be collected and returned to school after the holidays in the first week back (from Monday 15th - Thursday 18th April). Remember that the money we collect as a school will help children in our local hospitals by providing them with books and author visits, as well as helping us buy more books for our new library. A new battle has started... will you help your class win over the half-term holiday? Earn as many points as you can by answering times table questions correctly. The new challenge starts now and lasts until the first day back at school. Each week concentrates on a different times table, with a recommended consolidation week for rehearsing the tables that have recently been practised every third week or so.

Y5 and Y6 reasoning and problem-solving together - with a focus on converting fractions, decimals and percentages. It was marvellous to hear the maths discussions taking place and seeing all pupils participating in the challenges. Look at the comments made by the pupils (gathered on the whiteboard). MATHS IS FUN! Next one - end of the Summer term
