We have  studied a few different speeches given during sporting events. We are now ready to begin writing our own inspirational speeches this week! 

The time has come to compare our sunflowers which we started growing at the start of the half term. Bring yours in this week to take part in the competition!

Year 5 got the opportunity this week to do a spot of gardening. We made flags using the natural dye from the plants we collected. Then we made a delicious crumble using the fruit we harvested from our garden. We even had golden raspberries which were delicious! 

Here are the Quarter-Final fixtures; Choose any of the countries to research. Create a fact file on this country using the facts that you find. Possible subheadings could be food, monuments/sights, climate/environment or animals.  

Year 5 have been identifying angles; acute, obtuse, right angle, straight line and reflex. For your homework I would like you to identify all the angles you can on a football pitch. Draw the pitch out and labels all the angles you can find.
